If we ban guns, criminals will still get
them. And yes, the owner of these guns should have been more careful, they should have had a gun safe. That way, nobody can get them but you. But if you ban guns, people who aren't criminals can't defend themselves. Sure, they could kindly ask the criminal to wait, get on their phone, call the police, wait 20 minutes for them to show up, then watch him go. Or they could stop the dangerous criminal in his tracks buy pulling out a Glock, or a pistol, or a rifle, or anything else. Is the criminal going to try anything when he/she is staring down the barrel of a gun? I think not. Are they going to try anything when the person is calling the police? YEAH. THEY ARE.

Remember, since criminals don't care about what the laws are they can do whatever they want. They can make their own, import them, and alot more... So banning guns just doesn't work.

Hi Jimmy,
I am glad there were no accidents with the guns the children found. I have a different lesson to take away from this incident. Just as children are taught to leave a building if they smell natural gas and to avoid touching a hot stove, they should be taught not to touch guns and to tell an adult if they see a gun out in the open where the children could get at it. Guns are another hazard in our lives that children should know about and know proper procedure when the parents make a mistake as clearly these parents did.
