Happy Ending!
“Owning a firearm is a huge responsibility. You need to take steps to secure the weapons and parents need to speak to their children about firearms and how dangerous they can be,” said Cairo police officers.
This was the ending to what could have been a terrible tragedy in Cairo Georgia today.
A nine year old boy took two handguns to Northside Elementary School today. A teacher found the guns when she noticed a young boy playing with a clip. When she approached him he said he was blowing on a harmonica. Luckily no one was injured and the boys did not intend to harm anyone when they took these weapons to school.
These are the kinds of things that should not be happing in our communities. The owner of these guns should not be able to own guns in the future. Luckily no one was injured or killed, but who is to say what happens the next time a irresponsbile gun owners fails to protect his weapons. Lets ban all privately owned guns now.

I am glad there were no accidents with the guns the children found. I have a different lesson to take away from this incident. Just as children are taught to leave a building if they smell natural gas and to avoid touching a hot stove, they should be taught not to touch guns and to tell an adult if they see a gun out in the open where the children could get at it. Guns are another hazard in our lives that children should know about and know proper procedure when the parents make a mistake as clearly these parents did.
If we ban guns, criminals will still get
them. And yes, the owner of these guns should have been more careful, they should have had a gun safe. That way, nobody can get them but you. But if you ban guns, people who aren’t criminals can’t defend themselves. Sure, they could kindly ask the criminal to wait, get on their phone, call the police, wait 20 minutes for them to show up, then watch him go. Or they could stop the dangerous criminal in his tracks buy pulling out a Glock, or a pistol, or a rifle, or anything else. Is the criminal going to try anything when he/she is staring down the barrel of a gun? I think not. Are they going to try anything when the person is calling the police? YEAH. THEY ARE.
Remember, since criminals don’t care about what the laws are they can do whatever they want. They can make their own, import them, and alot more… So banning guns just doesn’t work.
